The LHBA Renovators’ Council, in partnership with the Fanshawe Design Program, gives students real-life job experience to design a renovation for an existing home. This year, the council asked the program’s second-year students to design a blueprint for fully accessible accessory dwelling units that allow seniors to comfortably and safely age on an existing property.

Judged by members of the LHBA Renovators’ Council, and LHBA members, elements such as the overall concept, styling, function, Ontario Building Code standards, quality of presentation, and use of budget are considered.
