LHBA is committed to supporting careers in the trades and the future of the home building industry. Each year, our all-volunteer Careers Committee donates hard hats to incoming first year construction students at Fanshawe College and North American Trade Schools (NATS) as a part of this commitment and alongside other initiatives including the Interior Design Competition Program, LHBA awards of merit, LHBA’s Student Ambassador Program and promotion of careers in the trades.

Many of those involved in our career’s initiatives have been inspired by the excitement the students show while being supported by the industry from the very beginning of their journey and in addition many have made valuable connections with future employees!
