$74,000 raised for Fund for Change; supporting Homelessness Response in London by LHBA & The Tricar Group – Constructors Cup Soccer Tournament

July 3, 2025 – Proceeds from the 3rd annual Constructors Cup Charity Soccer Tournament presented by The London Home Builders’ Association (LHBA) in partnership with The Tricar Group along with matching donations were given to the Health & Homelessness Fund for Change last week.

The May 30, 2025 tournament played at Tricar Field in West London sold out again this year with 16 LHBA member teams, sponsors and spectators together raising $74,000 towards the implementation of London’s Whole of Community System Response to the crisis of homelessness in our community, an increase on last year’s total donation (including matches) of $70,000.

The tournament proceeds of $18,500 were generously matched by The Tricar Group, totaling $37,000 which in turn will be matched by the generous anonymous donor family who originally spearheaded the Fund for Change with a transformative $25 million commitment. The total donation will be $74,000.

Last week, LHBA’s team along with Adam Carapella (VP, Operations) and Jen Grozelle (Marketing Manager) from The Tricar Group and Diane Silva (President and CEO) and Jennifer Foulds (Communications Director) from London Community Foundation visited the House of Hope, a highly supportive housing facility which falls under the umbrella of the Health & Homelessness Whole of Community System Response, to make the donation and learn more about how the House of Hope is supporting people experiencing homelessness.

During the visit, Chris Moss (Executive Director) and Season Bieronski (Manager, Supportive Housing) from London Cares Homeless Response Services along with Tania Testa (Vice President, Communications and Community, Patient & Client Engagement from London Health Sciences Centre, shared how the House of Hope came to be, the importance of partnerships for sustainability and the successes of  operating 50 highly-supportive housing units where individuals are provided comprehensive 24/7 health and social supports.

“Thank you to the London Home Builders’ Association, the Tricar Group, the sponsors and the participants of the Constructors Cup for their incredible contribution to the Health and Homelessness Fund for Change for the second year! Together with the generous anonymous donor family, businesses, and Londoners, the Fund for Change is supporting the creation of two specialized Hubs and 352 new highly supportive housing apartments so that everyone in our community has a safe, secure and affordable place to call home,” said Diane Silva, President and CEO, London Community Foundation, the administrator of the Fund for Change.

The LHBA wishes to thank The Tricar Group donating the use of Tricar Field, help in planning the event and their matching donation as well as the 16 teams who participated, our volunteers and the many sponsors who helped to make this event possible.
